A rail served, trans-loading facility in East Tennessee

About Us

Our founder, Bennett Spratlin

Our Story

With only five full-time employees and one blend plant, Mr. Bennett Spratlin and his wife, Jimmie, started Johnson City Chemical, nicknamed JCC, in 1974.  Now, more than 43 years later, JCC has grown and branched out in to five locations in four cities and two states.  While our other plants still supply local farmers and customers with fertilizer, farm supplies, and feed, our Johnson City location now operates as a warehousing and transloading facility, named Johnson City Warehouse.

Our "Lower Warehouse"

What sets us apart from the rest? Two words: Customer Service

Our drivers have over 50 years of combined experience, and it shows through their professional attitudes and friendly faces.  All of our fleet services and repairs are performed by our in-house fleet mechanics.  Our warehouse workers have received all necessary training, including training in Hazardous Materials, in order to ensure that your product is taken care of properly and, most importantly, to your satisfaction.

More than just warehousing

Sitting on 23 acres and located centrally in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains in East Tennessee, our site offers multiple storage and warehouse options.  However, we offer so much more!!

Our services also include:

Trucking: We offer a variety of trucking services, including hazardous materials, flatbeds, van trailers, stainless steel tankers, and food grade tankers for bulk liquid transport.

Trans-loading:  Our specialty! Our facility has access to both CSX Rail and Norfolk Southern. Our rail siding has the capability of holding up to 10 railcars at once.   So whether you need your product loaded from rail to truck, or truck to rail, we can make it happen!

We understand that time is money.  We work closely with the fine folks at Genessee Wyoming (ETRY) to ensure that rail switches are completed in a timely manner.  That way, you get your product where you want it, when you want it.
